Stuart Teekasingh (b. 1988, Calgary, Alberta) is a self-taught Canadian contemporary artist working primarily in painting and sculpture, with an expanding practice in installation and digital/video work. After completing a Diploma in Applied and Graphic Design at the Vancouver Art Institute in 2010, he built a substantial career as a tattoo artist and studio owner, known for large-scale, full body work, before shifting fine art to the centre of his practice in 2023. He co-founded The Nest Gallery Initiative in Calgary to support underrepresented artists and has exhibited in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Calgary including two solo shows in 2023 and 2025 as well as being chosen to paint murals in 2022 and 2024.

Extensive travel across Europe has deeply informed his approach. Visits to the Venice Biennale and sustained engagement with public and private institutions in London, Paris, Belgium, and Amsterdam have sharpened his understanding of contemporary and historical practices. Teekasingh is still currently tattooing part time while working on a new body of work investigating concepts revolving around time, memory, cultural identity, and the complexities of human connection.
